We love Christmas here at Derwent Mills Cottages, and we think you'll love it too.

There's so much to do and look forward to locally, such as Belper's Christmas Food Fair, which is a great open-air high street shopping experience.   Christmas at Cromford Mills, or Matlock Bath's Masson Mills is a great day out. Chatsworth House put on a world famous display of Christmas decorations and displays from early November through to  January.  They also do a Christmas Market too in later  November, so why not come and do  your Christmas shopping?

The Peak District hills and dales are draw in winter with wisping columns of smoke rising in the eerie twilight mists over villages.  You can scarcely imagine a more perfect location in winter. The wintery feel of the local countryside on Belper's doorstep at Christmas is perfect for  a Boxing Day walk. 

So whether you want to escape the Christmas crowds and commercialism or shamelessly indulge in a shopping experience - our cottages are the perfect base.

Of course both cottages have the cooking facilities to cook a Christmas dinner of any size. All linen and towels are supplied and free WiFi is also available in our cottages.  Decorations are an optional extra.  Click on the box during booking if you want your cottage decorated for the period of your visit.  We do it this way as sometimes people don't want a tree and decorations, just a place to escape Christmas!
